This week at kids tech u we dissected a desktop and a laptop. We even got to regenerate the hard drive but something went a little wrong so we looked around to try to find out what went wrong. Turns out one of the memory boards was not fully pushed in. While we were looking around, we let a trained professional touch the hard drive. We learned about electro static energy. These are how many volts each action produces. If you feel something, it gets 3000 volts, if you hear something, it gets 6000 volts, and if you see something it gets 9000 volts. This is not enough to kill you, but it is enough to kill your motherboard. You cannot replace your motherboard because it is attached to you computer. The most important thing is to stay safe around electronics.
